One thing that we have to remember is that like we have “freedom” to choose good or bad, right or wrong, sin or to live by our faith – Jesus had the freedom and God the Father did not take His life from Him!  The fuller answer to this question is one which our Lord Jesus Himself tells us better than I could explain it’s from John’s Gospel when He speaks of Himself as a shepherd, the Good Shepherd and each of us the sheep of his fold (flock):    [Gospel of John, chapter 10:15-18] I [Jesus] lay down my life for the sheep[you and I are the sheep; those who follow Jesus the Good Shepherd]. I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also [these are all the people who are coming to know Jesus each and every day], and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.  For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again.  No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.’
