This is an excellent question, and I point you back to an earlier question and answer, but God doesn’t allow us to sin, but He gives us as a gift – freedom, and with that freedom we can choose to sin or do good, to live the way God wants us to, or to live in another way, a harmful, damaging, contrary way. I know that freedom might seem like it means we can do what we want, and in one way of thinking, we can – no one is stopping us from doing evil. When we choose to do good and great things in the way we were designed, with God’s help our lives get better and better, even though we will continue to struggle, even though we will continue to need to go to confession again and again – life is really worth living when we live it with God. I should know; I lived my life thinking freedom was best lived doing what I wanted to. When I was in my late 20’s I realized that living that way got me nowhere, and so these past 10 + years I lived free to choose anything, but have tried to choose good and right and God – and my life is getting more and more amazing every day.
