What an excellent question. As a priest, as a man who also has struggled with getting angry, and as a Christian who wants to be the best person I can be; the answer is simple and difficult at the same time. It’s simply this: you have to keep working at it. It isn’t easy, and we have to do different things, like count to ten, like have a friend who we tell about our struggles, to think of good things especially when we’re mad. What I do, and I encourage you and everybody to do too, is think about going to confession more often. Confession is not an easy thing to do, and when we make a commitment to go, it helps us to know God forgives us, but also helps us to think twice before we get mad and lash out at people.
